One NZ signs exclusive 10-year partnership with Advantai Group, with Boost Mobile New Zealand set to launch later this year

One NZ has signed an exclusive 10-year enablement agreement with Advantai Group’s managed services business, Prvidr NZ, to support the launch and operation of Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNOs) on One NZ’s award-winning network, with Boost Mobile New Zealand confirmed as the first brand set to launch later this year.

Under the agreement, Prvidr NZ will deliver the end-to-end platform, billing, customer management and operations for Boost Mobile New Zealand, the first brand to launch under the framework. The new 10-year agreement deepens a commercial relationship that began just over a year ago and reflects a shared, long-term commitment to the New Zealand market, designed to support a growing roster of established consumer brands launching mobile services.

“Deals of this length aren’t signed lightly. This one reflects the confidence One NZ and Advantai Group have built together and a shared belief that the next wave of growth in New Zealand mobile will come from established consumer brands,” said Advantai Group Chief Executive Officer David Joss.

“This agreement is the foundation for everything that comes next. Boost Mobile New Zealand is the first brand to launch under it, but it won’t be the last. There is significant demand from brands that see mobile as a natural extension of their customer relationships.”

Underscoring the partnership, One NZ General Manager Infrastructure Partners Murray Osborne said MVNOs are an important and growing part of New Zealand’s mobile market. Kiwis increasingly want more choice and mobile services that are designed around their needs, interests and lifestyles and MVNOs create an opportunity for brands to bring genuinely differentiated propositions to market.

“For One NZ, there’s real potential in enabling more of those brands to enter the mobile market and innovate on top of our network. Our partnership with Advantai Group gives us a platform to support that growth at scale, and ultimately that means more choice and more compelling mobile experiences for New Zealanders. We’re excited to see Boost Mobile launch in New Zealand as the first brand under this new partnership and bring its challenger spirit and a fresh proposition to Kiwi consumers,” said Osborne.

Advantai Group operates three businesses as a single, integrated ecosystem: Fastter, which develops the brand proposition and commercial model; Staqr, the autonomous core software platform that powers telecommunications and subscription brands; and Prvidr, which is trusted by tier one businesses across the Tasman to run end-to-end operations.

Keeping proposition development, technology and operations under one umbrella rather than spread across multiple vendors gives challenger brands the reach of a major carrier without the capital-intensive build.

“Because all the capabilities our customers need sit within the group, a brand like Boost can launch with the reach of a major carrier at a fraction of the usual cost and time. Prvidr NZ is delighted to support Boost Mobile New Zealand’s entry into the market, and we look forward to getting started,” said Joss.

Boost Mobile New Zealand is an independently owned and operated business, co-founded by Chief Executive Officer Jason Haynes and Boost Mobile founder Peter Adderton.

Haynes said launching the brand in New Zealand was about backing Kiwi consumers with the same energy Boost has brought to markets around the world.

“This is a brand and business, built for New Zealand consumers. I’ve had the backing of Peter and the original Boost Mobile founders to carry that same challenger spirit into what we’re building, but how we show up for Kiwis is something we’re building ourselves, from the ground up,” said Jason Haynes, Chief Executive Officer of Boost Mobile New Zealand.

Advantai Group entered New Zealand in July 2025, bringing its Fastter mobile-enablement and revenue-share model to the market and giving the country’s leading consumer brands a pathway to launch their own mobile services without the traditional time, cost and regulatory barriers.

Today’s announcement caps a period of rapid trans-Tasman expansion that has established Advantai Group as one of APAC’s fastest-growing privately owned telcotech enterprises. It also reinforces the group’s core purpose: taking consumer brands to market and running the complex machinery behind them, so brand owners can focus on their customers while Advantai delivers the technology and operations at speed and scale.

Advantai Group recently strengthened its senior leadership team, with the appointment in August of Ben Dobbin as Chief Operating Officer of Prvidr and Julian Dell as Chief Technology Officer of Staqr. Dobbin brings more than 20 years of telecommunications operations experience, including senior roles at Symbio and Uniti Group, while Dell brings more than three decades of technology leadership, including eight years at amaysim, where he served as both Chief Technology Officer and Chief Operating Officer. Together, the appointments bolster the group’s operational and technical capability.
