Vodafone Ninjas add expert edge to customer experience

MEDIA RELEASE - Vodafone is introducing more of its flagship Ninjas to help customers solve their tricky technical questions.

Vodafone Ninjas - Masters of Tech - are a team of highly skilled employees who focus on helping customers get the most out of their mobile and broadband technology.

Vodafone Ninjas are experts in everything from syncing emails between phones and a home based PC, to Wi-Fi tuning, and configuring new devices. Ninjas receive on average an additional 80 hours of training and have a keen interest in all things technology.

Currently, Vodafone has a team of Ninjas available to assist customers in 85 of our retail stores. Following the expansion of the team and completion of technical training, Vodafone customers are able to access the team of Ninjas over the phone.

With half a million calls received by Vodafone’s call centre each month, Ninjas are specially trained to solve customer’s technical queries on the spot.

Vodafone’s Consumer Director, Matt Williams, said Vodafone is committed to delivering superior service and customer experience, and has adapted the workforce to meet the needs of customers.

“Our call centres receive calls across a range of topics, including purchase, billing, and technology enquiries. By directing calls to the appropriate support team according to the nature of the enquiry, we can better meet our customers’ needs.

“We’ve worked really hard over the last 18 months to get our call wait times to world-class standards, and I’m pleased to say that on average, we are now answering 71 per cent of calls in under a minute*.

“Alongside shorter wait times – we know our customers value really quick, efficient service, so by having more specially trained Ninjas on hand to solve their technical problems fast, we aim to give our customers valuable time back in their day,” Matt said.

“Vodafone Ninjas are available any hour of the night or day to support our customers,” Matt added.

For customers who prefer a face to face experience, there are Ninjas in Vodafone retail stores across the country who can provide one-on-one support.
