If you’re a One NZ customer, you will notice something changing on your phone screen when you’re about to make a call, send a text, or make your next social media post.
As One NZ Warriors finals fever builds, our network name has once again changed to a message familiar to fans across the country: Up the Wahs. It's a small gesture, but it represents something much bigger – our way of supporting the team and joining New Zealanders in getting behind the One NZ Warriors.
Since 1999 and until 2031 at least, One NZ has backed the One NZ Warriors because they bring New Zealanders together. What started as a sponsorship has become a partnership built on loyalty, belief and community.
Over that time, we've shared the highs, the tough seasons, the sell-out crowds, the comeback stories and the moments that have brought New Zealanders together.
That's why we're bringing back "Up the Wahs" onto mobile phone screens around the country for the finals – in between celebrating Māori Language Week with “Kia ora” on the network identifier banner from 14-21 September.
It's our way of showing support for the team, celebrating the fans and joining the national conversation in a uniquely One NZ way.
And if seeing those three words on your phone brings a smile to your face on the way to work, at school pick-up, or while you're getting ready for kick-off, then we've done our job.
