One New Zealand has announced it will offer its Enterprise customers Starlink for Business, with orders open from today. The technology provides high-speed, low-latency broadband internet even in the most rural and remote locations where fibre or cell connectivity is not consistently available. With a higher gain antenna, additional throughput allocation, and better extreme weather performance, businesses can ensure bandwidth for critical operations 24/7.
“We’re delighted to offer One New Zealand customers this innovative, enterprise grade connectivity from SpaceX, paired with world class security from our leading cyber security partner Palo Alto Networks,” says Chief Enterprise Officer Lindsay Zwart.
One New Zealand employs a partner of excellence strategy, and have selected Palo Alto Networks to ensure its Starlink for Business customers are best supported and protected.
"Palo Alto Networks is excited to provide Zero Trust 2.0 Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) security for One New Zealand's Starlink for Business service. Recognised by Gartner as the only vendor in the industry to be identified as a leader in the 2023 Gartner® Magic Quadrants for SSE and SD-wan, Palo Alto Networks is thrilled to enable One New Zealand to bring this enterprise-grade connectivity from SpaceX to New Zealand's largest organisations," says Misti Landtroop, Managing Director for Palo Alto Networks, New Zealand.
Philips Search & Rescue Trust’s Sharni Weir describes the difference the service will make noting connectivity is a core need for the organisation.
“When a rescue helicopter is tasked to a mission, it is because it is the best and in many remote locations the only option. Being connected means we can respond even quicker to those who need us. Starlink Broadband provided this vital connectivity for us during the recent cyclone events – meaning we could be there to help our communities connect with their loved ones”.
