One New Zealand is delighted to appoint Ezekiel Raui (Te Rararwa, Ngāpuhi, Ngā Kuki Airani) as Head of Foundation to further advance Te Rourou’s strategic goal to reduce the number of rangatahi experiencing exclusion and disadvantage in Aotearoa.

Ezekiel joins One NZ from NZ Trade & Enterprise, where he was most recently an Investment Analyst, and before that Pou Ahurea Māori - Māori Capability Lead. He is working towards a Master of Business Administration in Management/Māori Business from Massey University and has an extensive background within the youth sector.

Juliet Jones, Chief Corporate Officer at One NZ and Te Rourou, One Aotearoa Foundation board chair says, “We are thrilled that Ezekiel has joined our team. His extensive experience across technology, philanthropy, the youth sector and driving investment into NZ Inc will help our Foundation to drive even better outcomes for rangatahi, as we strive for a more equitable Aotearoa.”

Having previously been appointed the Deputy Chair of the MYD Partnership Fund, a member on the Youthline Auckland Board, a long-time member of I AM HOPE and the Key to Life Charitable Trust, and various regional and community-based youth development initiatives in Northland while growing up, Ezekiel has an extensive background in youth and community development, mental health, and suicide prevention.

He was also named a Queens Young Leader 2018 and Forbes 30 under 30 Asia/Pacific 2019.

Commenting on his appointment, Ezekiel said: “It’s an absolute privilege, pleasure and honour to be a part of the Foundation moving forward and to continue our positive impact on communities across Aotearoa”.

Te Rourou, One Aotearoa Foundation, previously known as Vodafone NZ Foundation, was established in New Zealand in 2002. Since then, One NZ has invested more than $50 million to support the work of the Foundation, including providing funding grants to over 1,000 community organisations. The mahi now includes four key pou (strategic pillars) focusing on The Invercargill Initiative, Systems Change partnerships, striving for Digital Equity alongside One NZ, and data-driven thought leadership.
