Massive month of music at Vodafone this May

We are pleased to announce our support for both NZ Music Month and NZ Music T-Shirt Day on the 27th of May.

Partners since 2019, Vodafone New Zealand and Live Nation, the world’s leading live entertainment company, launched the artist discovery program ONES TO WATCH New Zealand in 2020. This partnership represents Vodafone’s commitment to fostering great emerging local talent, in both the music industry and beyond.

We are super excited about this year’s New Zealand Music Month theme, ‘Level Up’, which is focused on raising awareness for emerging artists across Aotearoa. Each month, one up and coming local artist is profiled as part of the ONES TO WATCH program and we look forward to highlighting three more artists, Bexy, Mousey, and Pickle Darling at our next ONES TO WATCH showcase at Isaac Theatre Royal in Christchurch on the 24th of May. Some of the previous featured monthly artists include Paige, Muroki, Rhys Rich, Balu Brigada and Imugi to name just a few.

Joe Goddard, Experience and Commercial Director at Vodafone, says that programs like ONES TO WATCH highlight the importance of New Zealanders lifting one another up and the impact businesses can have on building a better New Zealand. “While talent is often something we think people are naturally born with, it is vital that individuals are given the opportunity to grow and succeed. Vodafone is in the business of connecting people, to their loved ones, to opportunities, to great music and live events. This is why ONES TO WATCH is so important to us.”

We have a lot of fun happening here at Vodafone during the month of May, including celebrating New Zealand Music T-Shirt Day on Friday May 27. MusicHelps is a charity aiming to raise funds for New Zealand music workers impacted by COVID-19 and also to help the most vulnerable in our communities through projects that use the power of music to help and heal – so visit our donation page here if you’d like to get involved.
