Young people find a voice through creative arts programme

For Kiwi musician Marcus Powell, his teenage years at Massey High school were a confusing time, and he struggled with expressing himself.

It’s something that seems hard to believe now with more than 15 years in the music industry under his belt, and as a two times triple platinum selling artist with the band Blindspott (reformed under the name Blacklistt).

But those years were the fuel for Marcus in his role as CEO of the Crescendo Trust of Aotearoa, which helps young people find their voice through music, film and photography in a creative mentoring programme.

And that vision was acknowledged by the Vodafone New Zealand Foundation, in a special partnership.
