Vodafone customers first in line for Ed Sheeran concert tickets

MEDIA RELEASE - Thanks to Vodafone’s Fantastic Fridays, customers who are Ed Sheeran fans can get exclusive pre-sale tickets to his December 12 show in Auckland – 48 hours before anyone else – starting this Friday at midday.

This exclusive music offer is part of Vodafone Fantastic Fridays, a loyalty programme launched last year which rewards Vodafone customers and connects them to things they love – like music.

Available from 12pm on Friday 24 April, any customer who buys a pre-sale ticket will go into the draw to win one of two once-in-a-lifetime meet and greets with the Grammy-nominated Brit.

Vodafone Consumer Director, Matt Williams, says its customers have embraced the Fantastic Fridays reward programme since the launch eight months ago.

“Vodafone mobile and broadband consumer customers have redeemed over 3.6 million offers and deals since last year – taking advantage of thousands of Vodafone exclusive pre-sale tickets to see some of the world’s biggest artists at venues around New Zealand.

“With the opportunity to win face time with Ed, and hot on the heels of Ed’s sell out New Zealand concerts, we reckon fans around New Zealand will jump at the chance to secure tickets this time around.”

The pre-sale of Ed Sheeran tickets is Vodafone’s seventh Fantastic Fridays pre-sale promotion, following Future Sound System, Six60, Drake, Sol3Mio, Rod Stewart and kiwi singing sensation, Lorde.

Sheeran’s sold-out March and April tour saw him perform in front of nearly 190,000 fans across New Zealand and Australia.

Vodafone customers can register online at www.vodafone.co.nz/music for the opportunity to get in early to buy tickets.
