Vodafone appoints new Business Director

Vodafone New Zealand is delighted to announce the appointment of Lindsay Zwart to the role of Business Director, joining the digital services company as part of its executive team.

Zwart returns to New Zealand after five years in the USA where she held senior positions in Microsoft, most recently as General Manager Cloud and Enterprise Business – responsible for the marketing, sales and operations of the firm’s cloud and infrastructure portfolio of products.

Vodafone CEO Jason Paris says Zwart brings a wealth of knowledge and capability to the role.

“Cloud is a key part of our digital future so Lindsay’s deep experience in this area along with her expertise in digital transformation will be of huge benefit to both our business and our customers.

“Lindsay has driven significant growth for Microsoft, maintaining a strong focus on culture, empowering people through trust and accountability within multi-billion dollar departments. We are thrilled to be welcoming her to the team in early September.”

Prior to moving with her family to Seattle in 2013, Zwart held a number of leadership roles at both Microsoft and IBM in New Zealand and says she is looking forward to once again working in a local leading technology business.

“Vodafone New Zealand is going through an exciting period of transformation with new ownership and a series of network leadership initiatives such as 5G driving a digital revolution for New Zealand. I’m really looking forward to working with the team to deliver world-leading technology to local enterprises.”

Zwart will take up the role of Vodafone New Zealand Business Director on September 9 and replaces Ken Tunnicliffe who left Vodafone in July having spent 15 years in the business.
